I love music and want to share that with everyone.  This is my sixteenth year at Douglass Valley.  I have three children and they are all musicians and two grandsons that already love music.

I was raised in Sonora California a small town in northern CA with a population of 2000. I graduated from University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Music Education and immediately joined the Army and was a member of the Sixth U. S. Army Band, stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco.  The flute is my main instrument.

Music is a huge part of my life.  My goal is that every child learn to read and write music and feel comfortable singing in any situation.  Music can be very scary and I want everyone to enjoy it.

My hobbies include sewing and cake decorating when I am not at school finding new songs to sing. Do not be surprised if you drive by DVE in the evening if you see lights on in my room.  I love teaching music and I am always on the lookout for something new to learn.

Students in fourth and fifth grades have the opportunity to join Choir or Handbell Choir.  Choir will meet Monday afternoons from 3:45 -4:50 and Handbell Choir will meet Tuesday afternoons from 3:45 -4:50.  Please watch for information about these groups.
